The clown’s job by day was to make people laugh, so that they always had a good time.
The clown by night, was a most lonely man who’d lament and cry his heart out; for he greatly wished to be one of those people who’d laugh their hearts out at his buffoonery!
But he knew, this too, was not meant to be.

There was a clown poem called Giovanni, I’ll have to find it, as I can’t locate it anywhere on the internet but I have a copy. This reminded me so much of that! Such a beautiful piece of work you’ve created π xx
